Really? You do see this as a black and white issue don't you? That we only help and assist "good" Afghanistan's and we don't help the "bad" or "Taliban" Afghanistan's.

And anybody even remotely suggesting otherwise is completely wrong and being silly.

That is why the video "Bitter Lake" is worth watching imho. It helps dispel such notions. It put things back into their proper perspective.

As I have repeated, some of the interviews by the British Army officers after the events are well worth listening to. I can put the exact point where one of the interviews stats so you dont have to watch the whole thing.

and its not just the USA btw. Britain has been up to there necks in it too. Its just a matter of recognising ones mistakes and moving on.

Adam Curtis has come in for some withering criticism for his film. Numerous reviews say his documentary (or whatever it is) is too simplistic, have parodied it various ways, and basically don't like it all.

It strikes me as being very on the money. Its what been happening over there. The bits about Thatcher etc are very accurate too. We manufacture very little else in the UK except hi tech weapons these days.

Every problem needs a bomb dropping on it. That is how we see things collectively as a Nation.
