I think the restrictions against eating only "cloven hoof" animals that "chew their cud" to be rather odd. I can just imagine a bunch of guys from the tribe of Levi sitting around and debating the physical characteristics that identify "clean" versus "unclean." I think they were just messing with people's heads. No no no, not THAT one, its uncle had a pimple on its ass, its unclean. Har har har.
