SG, Who Knows ???
I tend to side with your opinion, greatest thing since sliced bread. Look what happened to the polio vaccine, from needle to sugar pill. I remember as a kid going through that change and even then I thought to myself this is fantastic, NO MORE NEEDLES.
Who in their right mind wants to get stuck with a needle when there is an effective alternative ???
The flu from year to year will not simply go away and as the Baby Boomers get older that creates an even bigger market.
Self administration is a definate plus also. Anything that saves money on medical costs, no visit to the Doctor just to get a shot.
I teach public school, they could easily dispense this type of product to elementary students with little hassle and no CRYING !!!
I'll tell you the FLU SPREADS LIKE WILDFIRE in the Public Schools. Literally 20-40% of the school population will get it each and every damn year, I am NOT kidding !! I've seen this going on for over 20 years, especially at the elementary level. The overall general health of kids is much lower nowadays and therefore their resistance suffers. One kid gets sick and it just wipes out the rest, they share soda cans , food, pens and pencils (which are usually hanging in their mouths), they don't wash their hands often, it is a GERMFEST.
If you don't believe me, ask around at your children's school, especially in the winter months in the Northeast. A couple of years ago they closed some schools for awhile to break the cycle.
Well, you asked for my opinion, sorry :o)
