NY concealed carry permit requirements:

The following individuals are prohibited from carrying a weapon in New York.

  • those younger than 21 years old
  • convicted felons (and people convicted of certain other serious offenses)
  • people who lack “good moral character”
  • people who have suffered from, or have been hospitalized for mental illness, and
  • those whom the licensing authority believes present a “good cause” for the denial of a permit.
(40 N.Y,. Con. Laws Ann. § 400.00..)

I'm thinking the second, third, and fourth points would eliminate almost all Democrats.
