The North Pole is warmer than Seattle today.

"Temperatures were down to 30 degrees this morning (in Seattle)," he said. "Meanwhile, up at the North Pole they have had above normal conditions. Temperatures were slightly warmer than Seattle with temperatures between 30-35 degrees."

Temperatures at the North Pole have reached above the freezing point three times since 1948, according to Bob Henson, meteorologist and blogger with the Weather Underground.
