Y2K = Year 2,000! Some old computers running dated software will not know what to do when their 2-digit counter keeping track of the years shows a "00" when the year 2,000 comes around! The solution to these problems requires finding the guys who wrote the programs way back when, and make modifications to the programs to handle this situation. The new computers and new software don't have this problem. The old ones did because computer resources like memory were expensive and in short supply, (storing the last 2 digits of a year took up 50% less space than storing all 4 digits!) - and people thought by now, companies would have upgraded to newer computers and software - but there have been too many tightwads unwilling to spend the $$$, so now they're in a panic!! :)

Merry Christmas and the best in 1998!!
