JM,

MEMS is the next revolution. They will allow physical interaction to the environment that previously was either too expensive or not practical. I'll give you a couple of examples:

If you use a MEMS device to measure the weight in both the passenger and drivers seat, you can adjust the air bag pressure, thereby reducing fatalities in accidents.

You could use large arrays to measure temp and pressures in space.

Mass Flow devices in vehicles.

Blood flow measurement. You may be able to use MEMS in application such as measurement of blood sugar levels that would stop the need for diabetics to prick themself daily. The MEMS device could regulate many functions within the human body.

When is this going to occur? Now is the time. There are already used to measure stress and strain. Think about an Airplane and the fact that they could put hundreds of small strain gauges on the airframe to reduce the need for physical inspections. You could save lives and millions of dollars. The explosive growth will be in the next 3-5 years. However, PTIS has continued to build a backlog of orders and I do not think that the Asia crisis will have a large impact on PTIS's bottom line.

I could be wrong, so, as always do your own research.

GO PSU!
