As of 12:45 today, I'm officially one of you. When I saw Falcon Drilling turning around with gusto today I saw that as my cue...that maybe the sector had bottomed. Jumped in at 21 and 1/8 and damn...finished 15 minutes later up a half! (small comfort, I know for you stranded at 26-plus and higher...but hey, my portfolio is full of those!) Also...I'd heard the Japanese are planning a big announcement tomorrow...they often do on major American holidays...and I knew there'd be half a chance The Street would like what they hear and we'd have a huge Friday. Could happen. On the downside...a one liner on CNBC yesterday that, "Analysts now think day rates have peaked". Maybe. Even so...HMAR is absurdly priced now, so I felt the downside was minimal. Merry Christmas!
