Regarding a wall, I support the idea, but a far more effective solution to the problem of illegal aliens and illegal immigration is the passage of a very simple law that says:

-- Any person found illegally in the United States will have 100% of his/her assets confiscated and the proceeds passed to the U.S. Treasury to reimburse U.S. taxpayers for the cost of finding and deporting illegal aliens. This includes, but is not limited to, all bank accounts, stocks, bonds, personal property, cash, checks, IOUs, real estate, vehicles, clothing, precious metals, and other property and belongings of any material value whatsoever.

-- Any person found illegally in the United States will be deported to their country of origin immediately, without exception, including anchor dependents. Those who refuse to provide a country of origin will be imprisoned in a border prison at hard labor until such a time that he/she discloses the required deportation information and is deported. Repeat offenders will be imprisoned for life at hard labor in a border prison.

-- Any U.S. citizen who hires, houses, or sells anything to an illegal alien will be fined $100,000 and imprisoned for 1 year at hard labor. Repeat offenders will be fined $1,000,000 and imprisoned for 20 years at hard labor.

Now, how hard is that? It's not hard. It is very, very easy.
