If you mean we're at the warmest in 800 years, that's partially true. What's most worrisome is the current trend , which is a very fast rate of warming. Deniers love to bring up disruptive climate changes from the past that were precipitated by things like changes in the earths axis or orbit, or collision with a asteroid... Things not relevant to the current situation. It's a tactic of deflecting the issue... Similar to bringing up Bill Clintons alleged sexual misconduct when we're really concerned about Trumps fascism or blaming some poor sod (alleged communist) on the Reichstag fire.
