The transition is complete. Now the Arctic air will intrude east of the Rockies. The subtropical jet will feed moisture plumes via west coast. The snow-covered Rockies remain cold, and a lot of moisture will get squeezed out in the mountains. The Gulf will help feed the remnants of storms crossing the moutains. The set up is ripe for cold air intrusions and snow storms....again, from west Texas to Atlanta to DC. It's what Bastardi has been saying, too, since August.
