Given current valuations of the S&P, a drop of 40-50% from the highs would not even be extreme. It would just be a historical average, again, given current valuations. So, that is the minimum drop I am expecting. It could happen this year or next year, so let's say within 2 years. AND, we could very well overshoot the AVERAGE drop. As you can see, my view is not short term as a trader defines it but it is short term as an investor would define it.
