Global temperatures are currently spiking with El Nino (as expected). Satellites say 2015 was 3rd warmest year in recent era (since 1978, where #1=1998, #2=2010). This makes complete sense.

Warming with El Nino combined with Atlantic pattern is eliminating drought around the U.S. Squeezing the sponge.


This is much better than the alternative: drought, like in the 1930's.
