Sonki--Interesting topic that I think will draw alot of attention since so many people are frustrated right now. I for one don't put TOO much emphasis on analysts. MSFT is my top holding, and most analysts say it's overvalued. I don't blame the analysts for the ORCL debacle--I think they blindsided everybody.
One analyst I do follow is L Painter from ML. She has been dead on with CPQ, and even though it has dropped big time the last 2-3 months, I'm buying the hell out of it and have been since it was $75 before the 5-2 split.
One thing to watch for with analysts is when their company brings the stock public. They almost certainly will have a buy rating on it and will be very reluctant to downgrade.
