An Xmas bonus Transcontinental Realty Investors, Inc. Announces Special Dividend DALLAS, Dec. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of Transcontinental Realty Investors, Inc. (NYSE: TCI) today announced that the Company will pay a special dividend of $1.00 per share. The dividend will be payable January 8, 1998, to stockholders of record on January 2, 1998. This special dividend is a direct result of the sale of Republic Towers Office Building located in the central business district of Dallas, Texas for $24.0 million. The sale should generate an approximate gain of $18.0 million for the fourth quarter of 1997.
