Ron, I think you confuse indignation against censorship with thin skin. People can criticize my posts or me even to the point of personal insult. I'm glad we live in a country where that is allowed. Censorship on this web site is an insult to everyone, no matter to whom it is directed. If Dmitry had only wanted those posts on the New Feature Discussion board which would praise the changes he made to SI, he should have stated that. Instead, this is the first sentence in the Introduction:

This topic is here to serve repository for all new features and debate their merits.

Unfortunately, when much of that debate was critical of certain changes, Dmitry showed (and even admitted) that he was the one who needed "to develop a thicker skin myself"; however, that wasn't the course he took. For the most part, he ignored the feedback from SI members; and in the end, he sought to quell discussion by banning a few who had criticized some of the changes. When the United States of America was founded, freedom of speech wasn't a "little thing"; it was the bedrock on which democracy was built. Indeed, I will always complain about those who demonstrate so little regard for it.
