I was looking at the news and the way some populations still grow without any rational stops and get beyond the natural and human resources--leading to cruelty, death, disease, war, and sub-human behaviours. Terrible. But how much worse it would all be without the tireless efforts of the beloved Margaret Sanger-the nurse who could! Because of her indomitable spirit and her selfless work in the trenches, the slums, and the tenements...the civilised world now has and uses contraception! In western culture almost every religious family (even off-the-wall Fundamentalists) use the family planning tools won for them through the compassionate efforts of the nurse who could! (Ironically, a group of Fundamentalist Christian Right have created an industry out of misrepresenting and defaming Margaret, thinking that such dishonest demonising will impact "Planned Parenthood" which was one of the community health agencies that flowed from her brave and remarkable efforts)...
