I was lying awake last night thinking about that Ted talk I posted a day or so ago where the scientist said he wasn't sure we would ever be able to verify the multi-verse. For 50 years I have been quoting Alfred North Whitehead's idea that consciousness is a third system in the universe, along with the inorganic and organic systems; and how I felt systems of consciousness would supersedes physics and provided answers we can't get through physics.

Then I got to thinking about how Newton, Maxwell and Einstein of course, revolutionized how we understood the universe and physics. Today virtually everything we produce is based on those theories figured out 100 years ago.

As I lay there thinking, I realized that it is probable that the eventual discovery of systems of consciousness in the universe is probably going to be the same thing to us that the discovery of sophisticated physics was. It will present a whole new way of understanding the universe and the reality we live in.

Just a wild guess of course, but it sure makes sense to me.
