Jon,

Curiouser and curiouser. What do you mean by a "reasonable" number of minutes: 1/2, 1, 5, 10? According to my log, I entered the AOL order at 10:25:42 and it was executed at 10:27:02. That seems reasonable to me, but I don't have a whole lot of experience with these systems so don't know if one should expect better. (Perhaps someone could comment on this.)

What is odd is that there were long periods about this time (dozens of trades) when the uptick was in effect, something that you would have seen on your quote screen. Moreover, if a downtick was in effect, you should have received an explanatory error message and you should not have been permitted to enter your trade at all!! Beyond me.

Regards, Carl
