Last week, I replaced the hard drive in my Mac Mini with an SSD. The mini is a pain to work on, particularly if you see like Mr MaGoo, but I managed to get through it.
The nice thing was reloading the data. I told it to download Mountain Lion from the Internet which took a while, then when it rebooted I told it to load my Time Machine backup. After maybe 30 mins it rebooted to El Capitan, everything perfect, ready to roll.
I don't think that is ver happening on Windows. It is always something. Incompatible backup, bad drivers, missing backup set, some sort of RAID problem, missing product key, SOMETHING.
I've gone to telling customers they ought to buy Macs. Even though many are coming to me to get Windows software. I tell them wherever they don't have to have Windows they'll be happier with Macs. Sounds stupid but I think it is true. |
