Still stuck in your checklist mentality and comparison with BMW piston-power. Why would I want to stop every few miles to wait in long lines? Not going to happen.... ever. You don't seem to be keeping up with battery tech. Batteries will in a few decades become obsolete anyway. The U.S. Navy just commissioned a new stealth Destroyer that has EM rail guns that can launch projectiles 70 miles without any gunpowder. No more nasty, dangerous explosives. The perfect kinetic energy kill weapon. Up to and exceeding seven times the speed of sound out of the barrel. Electrons with no battery storage... Think electrostatic.
