How would you get your streaming?
This wouldn't work for me yet, as I like to watch my local NFL and MLB teams, as well as local TV for news and such, but at least it's getting closer. I'd like nothing better than to dump my Comcast bill.I'd like nothing better than to dump my Comcast bill.

I like DISH for TV... less compression of the signal and I get the local sports teams. Past three years, I don't think I've missed a Golden State Warriors game, I really like the DVR to fast forward the slow parts like hack-a-Bogut and commercial breaks.

I can get 3 of the 4 majors over the air with higher quality than Dish or Comcast (no compression) but like you, I like the local sports AND the ability to record all the news shows at once which I don't think I could do with an over the air DVR.... maybe TiVo has it...

There are several shows on cable, both basic and premium, that really sound great with a good HiFi setup....

I have slow internet (2.5mb dsl) and the only upgrade is to either hotspot from my cell phone (limited to 7GB/mo) or get Comcast. I've thought about eliminating the dsl and the $30/Mo land line from AT&T and getting Comcast and using my cell for phone... but it is hard to give up the safety of a land line...
