Perhaps, but one would think you could fix a bug for less then 57 million dollars no matter how extensive it may be. R&D on the core product couldn't have been 10% of that figure.

At a generous rate of $300 per programmer hour, that would give you 190,000 man hours or 520 man years. You could *almost* rewrite WIN 95 in that time. ( alittle humor there)
