There were apparently serious attempts to put an amendment into the bill making certain that guns couldn't be taken into mental institutions. But the bill's supporters said the thought required more research and won a vote keeping the amendment out. And this is the crew that insists that college campuses be places folk can carry guns openly or not. Beyond crazy.
