It turns out that both his mother and father appeared on Canadian voter rolls. " Ted Cruz, unlike president Obama who was born in the United States in Hawaii, was born in Canada. His father was Cuban. Cruz claims himself a "natural born US Citizen", based upon the birth certificate of his mother, a claim that has never been tested in US courts.
