ckg - yes, I like that one as well. Always a pleasure speaking with Randy at PDAC.

Just noticed something interesting today - massive volume in GLDX (Gold Explorers ETF) over the past six weeks.
2.6 million shares traded hands during December and over 600k the first week of the new year.
I know that doesn't sound like much but the average monthly volume is typically 400k.
And 2015 wasn't that bad a year in terms of performance.
GLDX ended 2014 at $20.50 and is now at $18.14; however there was a $1.92 dividend (capital gains) announced in December and the ex-div date was Dec 29.
So, basically flat over the past 53 weeks (helped out by last week's 10% gain); that's much better than the TSX Composite when one considers that the GLDX is priced in U.S. dollars.
Sure looks like smart money has begun to load up on the quality juniors and explorers.

Here's a link to the GLDX holdings; some of the charts look pretty decent.
