If the perp is killed within the house, it's pretty solid evidence he was in the house and the homeowner certainly can defend... if the dead man is outside the house, he may have simply been walking by or on a sales call and some wack job gun hugger decided to shoot because he was afraid of his color or dress.....you were a friggin detective, you should know these things. Don't you watch cop shows.????
