Just on my way out to our local Christmas eve parade and I was hit with an idea that I had to post. This Another guy from Kitco has been bugging me, couldn't quite say what was bugging me but something was awry. I couldn't follow why the central banks would lower the value of gold against a set 1000 bucks an ounce. Let me rephrase that, I could follow it but it seemed like a twisted complicated way to make the story work. It seemed like it was an altering of the truth.

Suppose this is the truth. A 'Western Oil Co.' and not Saudi Oil is using Another at Kitco soley to plant/promote the idea of trading oil for gold. Kitco is the test market to see how the idea is taken. The story at Kitco was just the angle to present the idea.

Suppose the 'Western Oil Co.' has clout as well with Big Banking and managed to 'chase' the price of gold down so that more gold per barrel could be exchanged when the trading starts. (Not almost done per Another)

Thus the 'Western Oil' could accumulate beaucoup gold without causing a run-up, since there would be no demand in the open market.

Gold could be accumulated 'openly' by 'Western Oil Co.'

Sorry for such a raw presentation but I wanted to present the idea before my time is booked, it is Christmas you know.

See any potential in this shift of view.

Seasons greetings to all.

Keith
