Your statement below makes no sense. Democrats don't do things over and over that prove to be failures. We are the party of science. We study things and we apply the scientific method. And that is not doing things over and over that makes no sense. We deal in probability, and research, and correlations, and hard science that people can depend on.

It is the Republicans that do everything with their gut instead of their brains. That is why scientists are overwhelmingly both Democrats and liberals. They are highly educated and know which party talks fact and reason and logic the most.

The Democratic Party is the party of science. It was science that pulled us out of the dark ages and gave us modern civilization. It was science that tamed our barbarian ancestors so civilized could grow e.g. it changed bloodthirsty Vikings into today's most modern humanistic and highly educated people on the planet i.e. the Scandinavians.

So isn't it interesting, that the scientists themselves are overwhelmingly liberals and Democrats. The pew poll listed below shows that only 6% of scientists call themselves Republicans and over 80% Democrats and over 50% are liberals. Why is that do you suppose? Do you think it might be because scientists know that the Republicans are full of baloney and the Democrats are the ones that are sane and logical and humanitarians?

Science brought in modern civilization by using the scientific method to show when things people believed were untrue e.g modern medicine that showed bloodletting was harmful and so was poor sanitation. And as often as not those things they believed that were untrue were tied to all sorts of dogma, religious and otherwise, that kept civilization from flourishing. It was the Galileo's and Copernicus's, the Darwin's and Newtons and Jeffersons and Einstein's and Max Weber that brought us to the modern civilization we enjoy today.

It is a shame and it is amazing that the Republicans cannot see that what they're doing will actually destroy their own quality-of-life. They're cutting off their nose to spite their face. They hate liberals, they don't understand liberals and yet liberals have their best interest in mind. Isn't that ironic?
