John,

I think this is a question that has not been asked and deserves a darn good answer. WHO IS MANIPULATING THE MARKET AT 3:35 TO DROP 90 POINTS?

In the old days, "tape readers" could tell by very secret indications when one of the big guys was selling (or buying). It didn't even take a writen word...only an unusual move at the right time. The case you point out seems to reflect that same kind of set up. Someone seemed to have passed the word in Wall Street that something would trigger massive computer selling. It is simply too large a drop to be "normal". Particularly since no news could account for the drop. I think the SEC should look closely at which firms were involved in this sell off..and which ones profited! I bet they would find several of the big firms really cashed in big time on that drop. That, in case anybody doesn't know, is ILLEGAL.

Just a guess, but a darn good question.

Greg
