I believe he was trying to be as over the top as the other side is to prove a point. You see EJ on here every day pointing the fingers at the GOP and Reagan only for the disappearing middle class and record wealth disparity is a perfect example. The irony is lower cost of living and a solid middle class still seem to work for families in much of middle America and the south these days hardly the bastions of the most progressive thinkers in this country.. I've been most everywhere so i always ask the question of why most would need to go to an Iowa or a Tennessee or most anywhere you find a sea of red these days (maybe Naples FL and Orange County CA are exceptions) if younger working class to have a shot at the American dream and life your parents had if the progressive movement was really looking out for the working class?
