Barbara, I think this post was to me, after I wrote about the assingment of stock after expration at the strikng price.

Related to same subect, the whole idea of writing uncovered options is to cash in into volatility and time premium in addition to the stock movement. Those two factors depreciate fastest during the ast 2 weeks before option expiration.

For long term option plays it is more worthwile to buy teh option than write it. (I relate to "naked" buy or sells)
