Yes but ....

1999 Hanson said the last 20 years of the previous 50 years showed a warming trend ....

but the overall 50 year period that those twenty years were a part of showed no warming.

In 1999, NASA’s James Hansen reported that the US cooled half a degree since the 1930’s.
