As for Chief going to the dark side, at first his 24-7 relentless bashing of Zen didn't make sense to me. I mean after all, he's one of the few who really profited handsomely from Zen (though he mislead so many in doing so). So why not walk away and move on? Why bash 24/7? But think about it - at the time he owned TCC when practically every member there was heavily invested in Zen and was at least very open to the advice he provided (because back then he was ridiculously popular and we didn't know Benedict Arnold was his great-great-great-great-great-great grandmother). That's a huge block of cash that was locked into Zen. Once he made the decision to move on he needed to break investor confidence in the company, make use of his popularity and ability to steer investors, and use it to drive up the price of another company with a much lower market cap and thus potentially upward fluctuating sp (CCB). Add to that he had gotten into CCB early and cheap.
Yeah, Chief's dark side makes total sense to me, and as long as Zen's sp remains low we can expect him to maintain the barrage of attacks at a maximum level. Why? Because he'll interpret that as a prime opportunity for Zen shareholders to give up in frustration, and then manipulate their interest in a high value graphite play (that can substitute for synthetic), and voila!!!! - He's got CCB investors - more sheep, more money, upward with the sp - and he's out! Til his next project. |
