I picked Denver to win it all this year, based on their defense. When it comes right down to the end of the year, it's the defense that matters more than the offense. The Patriots defense has improved quite a bit the last 5 games, but I still see holes opening up allowing other teams to rush for decent yardage.

Manning will need the running game to work in order to win. If the Patriots can stop the run, they should win the game. If they can't it's going to come down to one or two great athletic plays that decide it.

The Denver defense has been strong all year. They've only given up 18 points per game on average. The Patriots offense looked good last week, but I don't think they can score more than 24 points against Denver.

So, it comes down to whether the Patriot defense can hold Manning and company to less than 24 points.

The Patriots should get to mile high early, defenses wear out in the altitude late in the game. That's when the Denver running game takes over.

I could be wrong, but my prediction; Denver 27 Patriots 24 in a mile high classic.
