That prefab panel market is extremely competitive and historically low margin. LRL may be able to afford to sell to US for a season or maybe two but exchange rate will level back off and then where are they. It remains to be seen whether these couple of contracts make it all the way to the bottom line without turning red.
.
I am sure Terry can find lots of cheap labour there in Abbotsford but quality has to be maintained or builder will soon switch to new supplier. Was in the contracting and building biz in Lower Mainland of B.C. for many many years and have seen many prefab wall panel shops open and close their doors.
.
I dont think that putting shareholders fortune on a biz based on the currency exchange rate is sound management. Swamp pad biz was much higher margin but with oil at $29 that is over for now. Good luck but I think next quarterly is not going to look to good.
.
I had a big position at one time but sold it off over couple months in fall. Some things came to light that suggested liquidating was the way to go.
