Hi Bill,

Maybe you'll get three in a row. The Korean market is up at the moment. The Nikkei has just put in a double bottom. The Hang Seng did the same. Ten billion dollars may do the trick. I think the market analysts are all talking in lock step about how things will be terrible here at home. It's just a bit over done. I may be in denial, but I get the distinct impression that they all say the same thing in fear of looking like a contrarian.

BTW, someone called me a contrarian the other day and I was startled. Being called a bearish contrarian during a bull market seemed okay. But, I'm surprised that the contrarian bearish sentiment during an existing bull market is so prevelant that a bullish statement in the midst of a bull market would actually be considered contrary. Now I'm really confused. I was just surprised about the dominant negativity concerning the markets at this point in time when the technicals, however tentative, are still bullish.

As bad as the NAZ looks, it's currently sitting right on it's 200 moving average. The DOW is well above it.
