China consumed more cement in two years during this recent construction boom than the USA did in a hundred years shows the magnitude and scale of the overbuilding in combination with a good amount of leverage in that mix.. Emerging market economies all tied in to the China story have been 50% of global growth compared to only 25% a generation ago also done with a good amount of leverage. Total global leverage now far surpasses 2008. Was just in NYC now with it's own high end building boom remaking the skyline in a way not seen since the late 1920's. Is the historic collapse in values of even former Dow component blue chip commodity plays like an Alcoa and US Steel the future for all asset prices and the global economy?
