I've always thought it was incredibly instructive that the disclosure when Ben Bernanke become Fed chair showed he had his entire $14 million of net worth in long term US Treasury bonds.

His investments were diversified only in maturity.

I remember when people commented on that at the time with a sniff, that he obviously didn't know much about investing.
