RE: Using Evernote for Photos
First here is an article by a guy that uses Evernote for creating Photo Albums
How to Use Evernote as a Digital Family Photo Album

Next are a few tutorials. One is for " Evernote" that is 25 minutes and the other is a 3 minute video for another application called " Photomanic" that works in conjunction with Evernote and adds more features for organizing photos.

After the videos I have some explanations for some common user paths in Windows and knowing where your files are stored is critical for being able to organize them. I'm not experienced with Evernote, but hopefully this post will be able to answer some of your questions.

  • This section of the Post deals with understanding common folder paths in Windows
One of the first things to be aware of is your computer hierarchy for files stored in your Windows profile folder and being able to navigate the folders.

This is your profile path in Windows 7 and will have the User name you have selected on your computer.
  • C:\Users\MyProfile
Also your Profile folder will have many folders in it. Here are some of the default folders paths in it.
  • C:\Users\MyProfile\Desktop
  • C:\Users\MyProfile\Documents
  • C:\Users\MyProfile\Downloads
  • C:\Users\MyProfile\Pictures
  • C:\Users\MyProfile\Desktop
This is where shortcuts and files on your Windows desktop are stored.
  • C:\Users\MyProfile\Documents
The Documents folder is where most people organize their text and office files into more folders.
  • C:\Users\MyProfile\Downloads
The Downloads folder here is your default download path unless you change it.

I use online webmail and this is the folder that attachments go to when I save them.

Also when you download software from the internet, this is usually the folder the setup file will be saved to. Sometimes though, software setup files will be saved to your desktop.
  • C:\Users\MyProfile\Pictures
The Pictures folder is where most people organize their image files into more folders.
