It's just another example of Trump playing the dupes. That isn't an accurate quote. But Trump knew it wouldn't be reported correctly so it serves his purpose perfectly. This is a pattern. You are being outsmarted. Here's what he actually said. "They say I have the most loyal people -- did you ever see that? -- where I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters," Trump said, illustrating his point by pulling his fingers into a gun shape. "Okay? It's like incredible." washingtonpost.com The "they say" makes all the difference in the meaning of this quote. It's disingenuous to leave it out. The media predictably left out the first part of the statement to make Trump look bad and then went crazy over it, but all they succeeded in doing was giving him free publicity, emphasized the strength of his support, and made themselves look like the lying, biased pieces of shit that they are. And the dupes lap it all up. Too funny. This is the most entertaining election ever...
