Yes, I know that. (If they were, neither you nor I would be corresponding about them - we'd just concentrate on making a fortune).

However, personally I put great weight to them in making decisions, and, as time passes, try not to forget that they occurred for a particular stock. In other words, to me the (2-day) Doji on Dec 11/12 is still 'operative'; and will be until proven otherwise.

By the way, note that in the week immediately following the original (2-day) Doji, the stock did track up; similarly on 12/22 you saw a Doji going the other way. Observing the near-certainty with which TXN would close with a Doji on 12/22, I opted out late afternoon and was rewarded. So you can see why the heavy weight. But this is STILL not to say that it should be the sole factor in a trading decision; absolutely not.
