I thought you were talking about the original head writer of the show. I heard she left after the second season and according to whoever I heard that from, that's when the show began its decline. (I thought season 4 -- the Trinity Killer -- was pretty good.)

Oh Charlotte Rampling! I first heard of her back in the seventies when she was a hot star in a controversial film at the time called The Night Porter. I saw that movie about the husband who went swimming. She was in another good film recently (last 10-15 years) where she played a writer who was lent the use of a house in the south of France and she became obsessed about the antics of the teenage daughter of the couple who lent it to her. It was called The Swimming Pool. I just looked her up on IMDB and see she's been very active, year after year, in dozens of movies I've never heard of.

I've seen the guy who played her son on Dexter. I think he was in The Hateful Eight. Either that or I saw him elsewhere recently. American Horror Story: Hotel? I don't remember.
