Usually you get 10'' snow per inch of water equivalent. The colder snows have higher ratios (12 to 15''), while the moist, wet snows have less (~8''). DC had 15'' of snow per inch of water. So don't blame it on the "moist" oceans. Useless drivel, as usual.
