And AMD was prospering, with their Hammer products that were widely acknowledged to be superior to Intel's long-in-the-tooth, reactionary, marketing-driven architectures. (I.e. Netburst, "Yamhill".) By what definition were AMD's products superior as you say above? Careful now that you don't just repeat "Parts is Parts" and back yourself into a corner. Address all the factors that OEMs consider.
