From the HP web site that model does not have an Intel audio device...it has IDT high definition audio hardware. Perhaps the wrong driver was being installed. Did you go here and try to let HP identify the needed driver? support.hp.com Try this page also... support.hp.com As a last resort download the Windows 7 driver from here and try it: ftp.hp.com
