The bank, or other lender, takes your mortgage. And the recepient is always the "ee" figure. That makes the bank the "mortgagee". In plain English, you are confused and don't understand the terms. You better sign up for a night class on Elementary Real Estates Law….for Dummies now read it again(YOUR LINK) and try to comprehend the words longer than 5 letters A copy of said notice shall be served upon the mortgagor or sent by registered or certified mail to his last known address
