I know many people who participated in that IPO. It was the 2nd greatest amount of money raised in an IPO for a bank. However, there is a bank known as Independance from Brooklyn which is scheduled to go soon as well that is supposed to be bigger. SIB is definitly a long term hold, no question I believe as is most banks. Good luck!!
