Re BRK.B book value

Your statement is incorrect:

You would want to adjust for buying PCP, which by accounting standards would lower the "most current book value". It is set to close Jan 29.
The purchase of PCP will not change BRK's stated book at all. The premium to PCP's book that BRK is paying, will go on BRK's balance sheet as goodwill and will stay there, unless it becomes impaired and needs to be written down.

Last time, I checked BRK.B stated book was around $100/share. This value could move down, if BRK's public holdings lose value (like AXP, WFC and IBM did).
