If you still using the beta, I wouldn't try the year 2000 update.

Better to wait for Windows 98 for the fix.

Just my humble opinion. I have installed most of these upgrades, but learned from bitter experience to do so only if you meet the exact description for the release number or version. (The various Winsock upgrades listed are particularly tricky)
